Meet Ruby, she is a sweet and very playful orange tabby kitten. She was rescued together with her brother Ethan Hunt at about 4 weeks of age. Her birthday is around September 10th.

Ruby is very confident and outgoing. She is a talented, self-taught little acrobat who enjoys jumping through hoop-like structures. Ruby started by jumping from the couch onto the bed through the spaces in the bunk bed ladder. Then she began jumping from three feet high onto the top bunk through the spaces in the bed frame. She will even fetch a toy doing this! Check out the video below; she is truly amazing!

Pretty Ruby has gorgeous blue-green & amber eyes. She loves to play with her foster mom's hair and crawl under the covers with her. She also plays endlessly with her toys and her brother Ethan. They are best buddies and complement each other. Check out the video on Ethan’s page of the two sitting on the couch purring up a storm together. Ruby and Ethan very much enjoy each other’s company and would love to be adopted together.

If you’re thinking about adopting only one of the kittens, consider this:

Two kittens playing get ample exercise and can keep each other occupied. They can develop important social skills and become happy cats.

Littermates can create security and comfort for each other. This may prevent behavioral issues caused by boredom or separation anxiety.

Adopting two kittens is usually easier than adding a 2nd kitten / adult cat later on. Also consider how irritating a single playful kitten could be to an adult resident cat.

Another kitten is a better playmate than people. Think rough play like biting and wrestling or a single kitten looking for a playmate at night.

Cats that grew up together often develop a very strong, special bond: a precious gift to behold. They also continue playing together as adults which helps burn calories and maintain their weight and health.
